Saturn Nebula

A planetary nebula in the constellation Aquarius, 2,300 light years away. It was formed when the outer layers of a star with the mass of the Sun were ejected relatively slowly toward the end of its evolution. みずがめ座にある惑星状星雲。距離2300光年。太陽ほどの質量の星の進化の最後に外層が比較的緩やかに放出されたものだが，放出が等方的でなかったために，両側に明るい部分が伸びた土星状になった。
