Fú wáng (English: Fukuō)

Japanese: 福王 - ふくおう（英語表記）Fú wáng

An emperor established by the exiled government of the Southern Ming Dynasty in China. His name was Yousong. His father was Zhu Changxun, the third son of the Wanli Emperor, who was killed in a peasant rebellion led by Li Zicheng. When the Ming Dynasty fell in 1644 (17th year of the Chongzhen era, 1st year of the Shunzhi era), Shi Kefa and others raised a loyal army and attempted to support the surviving Ming king to resist the Qing army. King Fu ascended to the throne in Nanjing and the following year, 1645, was declared the first year of the Hongguang era, but the king himself was foolish and the government collapsed due to corruption within it, and he was handed over to the Qing army. He was sent to Beijing the following year and beheaded. [Ono Kazuko]

中国，南明の亡命政権が擁立した皇帝。名は由崧（ゆうすう）。父は万暦帝の第3子朱常洵で，李自成の農民反乱によって殺された。1644年(崇禎17∥順治1)，明が滅亡すると，史可法らは勤皇の軍を起こし，明の遺王を擁立して清軍に抵抗しようとした。福王は南京で即位し翌1645年を弘光元年としたが，王自身，暗愚であったうえ，政権内部の腐敗によって自壊し，清軍の手に渡された。翌年，北京に送られ，斬られたという。【小野和子】
