Information from overseas brought by Qing merchant ships that arrived in Japan every year during the isolationist period. Compiled as "Kayi Henkei" and "Sakikou Shangsetsu" by the shogunate's Confucian scholars Hayashi Shunsai and Ogaka, father and son. Contains articles from 1644 on the Ming-Qing Revolution to 1724. For each Chinese ship that arrived in Nagasaki, the Nagasaki magistrate interviewed, translated, and coordinated it with the Tang tsūji, and then submitted it to the Edo shogunate. Information on the domestic and international situations, especially on the continent, the movements of Catholic countries such as Spain and Portugal, especially their actions toward Japan, and detailed reports on European activities and drifting in the East were required to be submitted, to help ban Christianity and prevent smuggling, and is almost identical in nature to the "Dutch Rusetsusho."
