May 1949 (Showa 24), Tokyo Institute of Technology established. April 2004 (Heisei 16), became a National University Corporation Tokyo Institute of Technology.
[Campus] Ookayama Campus (Meguro-ku) / Suzukakedai Campus (Midori-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) / Tamachi Campus (Minato-ku)
[Marks] The symbol mark was established in 1948 (Showa 23). It was designed by Hori Shinji (then a professor at Tokyo School of Fine Arts). It is an image of the character "工" (industry) on top of the character "大" (large). In recent years, a logo mark was established as a strategy to increase the power of Tokyo Institute of Technology as a brand. The trademark was registered in September 2008 (Heisei 20) (No. 5168016). There is also a logo mark commemorating the 130th anniversary. The trademark was registered in September 2009 (Heisei 21) (No. 5264076).

[沿革・歴史]1881(明治14)年5月、手島精一が東京職工学校を設立。1890(明治23)年3月、東京工業学校と改称。1901(明治34)年5月、東京高等工業学校と改称。1929(昭和4)年4月、東京工業大学に昇格。1949(昭和24)年5月、東京工業大学を設置。2004(平成16)年4月、国立大学法人東京工業大学となる。
[キャンパス]大岡山キャンパス(目黒区)/すずかけ台キャンパス(神奈川県横浜市緑区)/田町キャンパス(港区)
[マーク類]1948(昭和23)年、シンボルマークを制定。デザインは、掘進二氏(当時の東京美術学校教授)によるもの。工業の「工」の字に、つばめを「大」の字にイメージ化して配されている。また、ブランドとしての東京工業大学の力を高める戦略として近年、ロゴマークを制定。2008(平成20)年9月、商標登録済(第5168016号)。加えて、130周年記念ロゴマークもある。2009(平成21)年9月、商標登録済(第5264076号)。
