1643‐1707 (Kan'ei 20‐Hoei 4) A haiku poet of the early Edo period. His surname was Haga, and given name was Harusada. He was commonly known as Jun'eki. His other pen names were Konzan'o and Meireido. He emerged in the Kyoto haiku world under the tutelage of Nifune and Tsunenori, and looked up to Akikaze and Shintoku as elder brothers. He published works such as Shishu Kakekaku (1680), Tsuruibo (1681), and Ikaga, making a name for himself with his 13,500 verses of haiku, and was recognized as a master of Danrin haiku. He published his New Year's Book in 1683 (Tenwa 3), and in the spring he moved to Edo, where he formed friendships with the Sho school, and played a part in the Tenwa Sho school.
