Kasuga [town] - Kasuga
An old town in Hikami County in the upper reaches of the Takeda River, a tributary of the Yura River, in eastern Hyogo Prefecture. The main settlement is Kuroi, which is served by the Fukuchiyama Line and the Maizuru-Wakasa Expressway. The town is centered on rice and dairy farming, and also cultivates Tamba eggplants and flowering trees, and engages in tourist agriculture such as pear orchards. The site of Hozuki Castle, where the Akamatsu and Akai clans were based in the Middle Ages, is located here. In November 2004, it merged with the towns of Kashiwabara, Hikami, Aogaki, Yamanami, and Ichijima in Hikami County to become a city, Tamba City. 75.64 km2 . Population: 12,598 (2003).

Kasuga [town] [Haruhi]

A former town in Nishikasugai County in the northwest of Aichi Prefecture. The Gojo River flows south through the center. The town was once known for its Miyashige radish, but now also produces spinach, carrots, and other crops. National Route 22 (Meigi Bypass) runs through the town, and automobile and food factories are moving in, as well as housing construction. In October 2009, it was incorporated into Kiyosu City. Area: 4.01 km2 . Population: 8,320 (2005).

兵庫県東部,由良川の支流竹田川上流部の氷上(ひかみ)郡の旧町。主集落は福知山線,舞鶴若狭自動車道が通じる黒井。米作と酪農を中心とし,丹波ナス,花木などを栽培,ナシ園などの観光農業も行う。中世に赤松氏,赤井氏が拠った保月城跡がある。2004年11月氷上郡柏原町,氷上町,青垣町,山南町,市島町と合併し市制,丹波市となる。75.64km2。1万2598人(2003)。

春日[町]【はるひ】

愛知県北西部,西春日井(にしかすがい)郡の旧町。中央部を五条川が南流する。宮重(みやしげ)ダイコンの特産地であったが,ホウレンソウ,ニンジンなどの栽培が盛んになった。国道22号(名岐(めいぎ)バイパス)が通じ,自動車関係,食品などの工場の進出や住宅建設が進む。2009年10月清須市へ編入。4.01km2。8320人(2005)。
