〘名〙中国、唐代の鏡。唐代は漢以来発展してきた中国鏡に大きな変化のあった時期で、形は円・方のほかに、八稜・八花・方花があり、鏡背の図柄も海獣葡萄鏡、盤龍鏡などの伝統的文様のほか、風俗画、伝説画、草花文などが自由にとりあげられるようになった。金属工芸品としてもすぐれ、螺鈿(らでん)、七宝、金銀平脱などの技法が用いられた。
