A record of those who passed the Chinese imperial examinations, especially the Jinshi examination, compiled by year. It seems to have started in the early Tang Dynasty, and there are also surviving works such as the "Five Dynasties Dengke Ji" written by Han Si from the Song Dynasty, but the most representative is the 30-volume "Dengke Ji Kao" written by Xu Song from the Qing Dynasty, which contains as much information as possible about all documents related to the imperial examinations held in the Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties that followed, including the number and names of those who passed each year, the exam questions and their answers.
