Equivalent circuit - Toukakairo

Japanese: 等価回路 - とうかかいろ

A circuit created to have a similar relationship with respect to a certain characteristic. For example, the equivalent circuit of an induction motor is shown in the figure below, and the current, power factor, efficiency, speed, and torque when a symmetrical three-phase sinusoidal AC current is applied can be easily calculated from this equivalent circuit. However, there is no equivalence at all with respect to asymmetric power sources, behavior with respect to harmonics, temperature rise (there is equivalence in the amount of heat generated, but heat capacity and cooling processes are not taken into account), sound, vibration, etc. As such, it is important to fully understand the purpose before using it.

ある着目した特性に関して，相似の関係をもたせるように作った回路。例えば誘導電動機の等価回路として図のようなものがあり，対称三相正弦波交流を加えたときの電流，力率，効率，速度，トルクなどがこの等価回路から容易に求められる。しかし，非対称電源や高調波に対するふるまい，温度上昇(発熱量は等価性があるが熱容量，冷却プロセスなどは考えられていない)，音や振動などについてはまったく等価性がない。このように，目的をよく知って用いることが肝要である。
