Among monetary executions, there are those that target claims that the debtor has against third parties (Civil Execution Act, Article 143 et seq.). The majority of these are claims for the payment of money, but in addition, as a prerequisite for monetary execution, the right to demand delivery of tangible property (movable property, ship, etc.) may be forcibly realized, and then, once the tangible property has come into the debtor's possession, it may be subjected to compulsory execution (Article 163). However, certain securities (those that are not prohibited from being endorsed) are subject to movable property execution, and as for the right to demand delivery of real estate, acquiring possession of the property is not a necessary condition for liquidation, so claim execution is not permitted.

金銭執行のうち，債務者が第三者に対して持っている債権を強制執行の対象とするもの(民事執行法143条以下)。対象は，金銭の支払を目的とする債権が大部分を占めるが，このほか，金銭執行の前提として，有体物(動産，船舶など)の引渡請求権を強制的に実現して，その後，債務者の占有になった，その有体物に対して改めて強制執行を行うこともある(163条)。しかし，一定の有価証券(裏書の禁止されていないもの)は，動産執行の対象とされ，また，不動産に対する引渡請求権については，その占有を取得することが，換価の必要的要件ではないため債権執行は認められていない。
