Osaki
Located in southern Hiroshima Prefecture, this area is made up of the northwestern part of Osakikamijima in the Geiyo Islands and small islands including Nagashima. Former name of town. In 1955, Nishino Village and Nakano Village merged to form Osakikamijima Town. In 2003, it merged with Kinoe Town and Higashino Town to form Osakikamijima Town. In the past, salt was produced using salt fields. Currently, most of the cultivated land is occupied by mandarin orange orchards, and rice is grown on scattered small reclaimed land. Blueberries are a local specialty. A shipyard for small steel ships is located in Onishi. The gateway to the mainland is the central settlement of Nakano, which is connected by ferry to Akitsu in Higashihiroshima City. Ogushi Sotohama Beach is located in the west, and the sea area belongs to Setonaikai National Park.

Osaki

A cape on the north shore of Lake Biwa, located in the northwest of Shiga Prefecture and the northeast of Takashima City. It is also called Kaizu Osaki. The surrounding area is submerged and has many rocky reefs, making it a scenic spot known for "Dawn Mist - Kaizu Osaki Reefs," one of the Eight Views of Lake Biwa. In 1940, a lakeside road was opened and the area gained attention as a tourist destination. It is famous for cherry blossom viewing in spring and as a camping spot in summer. It is also a famous fishing spot. Osakiji Temple (Osaki Kannon) is located halfway up Higashiyama. It belongs to Lake Biwa Quasi-National Park.

Osaki

A residential and industrial area in the northern part of Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo. It spans the valley of the Meguro River and the plateau behind it. The lowlands are part of the Jonan Industrial District and include electrical and machine factories. On the plateau are residential buildings and Rissho University. JR Osaki Station handles a lot of freight, and a siding to JR East's Oi Factory branches off here. Also, on the east side of the station is a building (Osaki New City) that houses several companies, hotels, and shops.

Osaki

A settlement in the southwest of Kainan City, in the northwest of Wakayama Prefecture. Former town name. Merged with Shimotsu Town in 1955, and merged with Kainan City in 2005. An old port town on the north shore of Shimotsu Bay in the Kii Channel, where cargo ships called during the Edo period. Fishing and mandarin orange cultivation in the mountains were thriving. There is currently an oil storage facility.

広島県南部,芸予諸島の大崎上島北西部と長島を含む小島からなる地域。旧町名。 1955年西野村と中野村が合体して町制。 2003年木江町,東野町と合体し大崎上島町となった。かつては塩田による製塩業が行なわれた。現在耕地の多くはミカン畑で占められ,散在する小干拓地で米作を行なう。特産品にブルーベリーがある。大西には小型鋼船の造船所が立地。本土への玄関口は中心集落の中野で,東広島市の安芸津とフェリーで結ばれている。西部に大串外浜海水浴場があり,海域は瀬戸内海国立公園に属する。

滋賀県北西部,高島市北東部にある琵琶湖北岸の岬。海津大崎ともいう。付近は沈水地形で岩礁が多く,琵琶湖八景の一つ「暁霧・海津大崎の岩礁」で知られる景勝地。 1940年湖岸道路が開通して観光地として脚光を浴び,春のサクラ見物,夏のキャンプ地として有名。釣りの名所でもある。東山中腹に大崎寺 (大崎観音) がある。琵琶湖国定公園に属する。

東京都品川区北部の地区。住宅・工業地区。目黒川の谷と背後の台地にまたがる。低地は城南工業地区の一部で電気,機械工場などがある。台地上は住宅や立正大学などがある。 JR大崎駅は貨物の取扱いが多く,JR東日本の大井工場への引込み線が分岐する。また,駅東側には複数の企業,ホテル,商店が集合したビル (大崎ニューシティ) がある。

和歌山県北西部,海南市南西部の集落。旧町名。 1955年下津町と合体し,2005年海南市と合体した。紀伊水道の下津湾北岸の古い港町で,江戸時代は廻船が寄港。漁業および山地でのミカン栽培が盛んであった。現在は石油貯油場がある。
