[1] The name of a place in Akiruno City, Tokyo. It is a former town name, and the JR Itsukaichi Line runs through it. The name is said to have come from the fact that a market had been established every five days since the end of the Middle Ages in the area that was a valley-guchi settlement on the Akigawa River, a tributary of the Tama River. [2] The name of a place in Saeki Ward, Hiroshima City. It is a former town name, and was incorporated into Hiroshima City in 1985 to become Saeki Ward. Facing Hiroshima Bay, it once prospered through salt production. The name comes from a regular market held in the early modern period.
