A translation of type, which can also be translated as kata, kyusha, or genus. A type is a conceptualization of similarities and commonalities in the development, phenomenon, or function of something that generally exists. This term is used in many academic fields with its own meaning and is by no means unambiguous. For example, in the field of cultural and social phenomena, M. Weber and Dilthey showed ideal types of cultural phenomena and types of worldviews, and in the field of logic, B. Russell constructed the theory of types to try to resolve the set paradox. Kant posited the paradox as a medium between moral laws based in the world of knowledge and actions realized in the world of sensibility. The concept of type is important from a philosophical point of view because it corresponds to the schema in theoretical philosophy and serves as a comprehensive interface between the world of sensibility and the world of knowledge.
