Tiberios Constantine

Japanese: ティベリオス・コンスタンティノス(英語表記)Tiberios Kōnstantinos
Tiberios Constantine
?‐582
Byzantine Emperor. Reigned 578-582. He ascended to the throne from the position of co-emperor under Justin II. His reign was short, but in 579, three battles broke out over the issue of the ownership of Armenia: one between the Sassanid Empire and the Lombards, who were moving southward into Italy, and one with the Avars, who were moving south along the Danube River in the Balkans. He died without resolving any of these issues, and the issue was passed on to his successor, Emperor Maurice. [Wada Hiroshi]
