Possession - possession
A belief in spirits that possess humans or objects, or in the activity of such spiritual beings. There are a variety of examples depending on the object, form of phenomenon, etc., and it is particularly discussed in relation to shamanism. In Japan, the most well-known examples are fox possession and dog possession.
