〘noun〙① The act of writing and recording characters. Also, the characters and documents that have been written. ※Eika (c. 1028-92) Koromo no Tama: "Flower baskets, folded chests, and other items were given to the nobles, so they all presented them with their names on them." ※Higangatsu Made (1912) <Natsume Soseki> Tebusho: "I took the trouble to write down what the old woman said at the time (omitted ) and put it in a drawer on my desk for reference." ② In the Edo period, official documents conveying orders from above, such as the shogun or senior councilors. Okakitsuke. Also, inquiries, opinions, reports, etc. from below. ※Financial and economic historical materials - 1. kai-tsu-ku [written note]

(Another Ka-2) (A variant of "kakitsuku (written note)") = kaki tsukeru (written note) ① ※ Yamato (around 947-957) 163 "I received a chrysanthemum and presented it to him. I also wrote, 'If you plant it, will it bloom when there is no autumn? Will even the roots of this flower wither?'"

かき‐つ・ける【書付】

〘他カ下一〙 かきつ・く 〘他カ下二〙① ちょっとした事柄を書いておく。かいつく。※万葉(8C後)七・一三四四「ま鳥棲むうなての森の菅(すが)の根を衣(きぬ)に書付(かきつけ)着せむ子もがも」※源氏(1001‐14頃)花宴「『世に知らぬ心ちこそすれ有明の月のゆくへをそらにまがへて』とかきつけ給ひておき給へり」② 書きなれている。「書きつけない筆で署名する」

かい‐つ・く【書付】

〘他カ下二〙 (「かきつく(書付)」の変化した語) =かきつける(書付)①※大和(947‐957頃)一六三「菊召しければ奉りけるついでに『植ゑし植ゑば秋なき時や咲かざらむ花こそちらめ根さへ枯れめや』とかいつけて奉りける」
