Asashima Ruins - Chotou Iseki (English name) Chodo-yujŏk

Japanese: 朝島遺跡 - ちょうとういせき（英語表記）Chodo‐yujŏk

Shell mounds and tombs dating from the Comb-patterned Pottery (Neolithic) period to the Proto-Three Kingdoms period (Early Iron Age, Gimhae) period are located in Dongsam-dong, Yeongdo-gu, Busan, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea. The site is located in two places on the west coast of Chosun Island in Busan Port, and was excavated in 1973. In Area I on the north side, three strata were deposited, mainly consisting of a shell layer from the Proto-Three Kingdoms period. From the lowest layer, Layer III, mainly brown plain pottery was excavated, along with reddish-brown soft ceramic pottery, along with ground stone tools. Also found were one burnt earth and one stone arrangement, presumably the remains of an outdoor hearth.

韓国，慶尚南道の釜山直轄市影島区東三洞にある，櫛目文土器(新石器)時代から原三国(初期鉄器，金海)時代にわたる貝塚と墳墓の遺跡。遺跡は，釜山港内の朝島の西岸の2ヵ所に位置し，1973年に発掘された。北側の第I地区では，原三国時代の貝層を主体として，三つの層位が堆積していた。最下層のIII層からは，褐色の無文土器を主として，赤褐色･軟質の陶質土器も出土し，磨製石器などを伴出している。また野外用の炉跡と推定される焼土と配石がそれぞれ1ヵ所ずつ見つかっている。
