〘名〙① 賭弓(のりゆみ)または相撲(すまい)の節会(せちえ)の行事の後で、勝った方の近衛の大将が自分の邸にもどって、わが方の人々をもてなすこと。かえりだち。かえりだちのあるじ。かえりのあるじ。※貞信公記‐抄・延喜一〇年(910)八月六日「相撲還饗」※源氏(1001‐14頃)匂宮「賭弓のかへりあるじのまうけ、六条院にて、いと心殊にし給ひて」② 賀茂、石清水両社の臨時祭や春日の祭が終了して、奉仕した祭の使いや舞人たちが宮中へもどった時行なわれるねぎらいの宴。かえりだち。かえりだちのあるじ。※貞信公記‐抄・延長二年(924)四月一八日「十八日、帰饗如例」③ 貴人が、賀茂、石清水、春日社等へ参詣し、または参詣の使いを立てた時、帰ってから使いや供人、舞人などをねぎらうために行なう宴。※貞信公記‐抄・天慶九年(946)一〇月二五日「賀茂願今日果、如石清水等願賽、出立饗間〈略〉帰饗伊与守云々」
