It was the first private broadcasting station in Japan to start radio broadcasting. Founded in 1950. Abbreviated as CBC. Radio broadcasting began in 1951, and television broadcasting in 1956. Headquarters in Nagoya. Its television affiliate is JNN (the key station is Tokyo Broadcasting System), but it is a wide-area station covering three prefectures, Aichi, Mie, and Gifu, and also has the ability to produce online programs. The broadcasting center opened in 1998. The CBC Digital Center opened in 2000. Capital in 2011 was 1.3 billion yen, and sales for the fiscal year ending March 2011 were 32.4 billion yen.
