China Civil Rights Guarantee Union (English: Zhong-guo min-quan bao-zhang tong-meng)

Japanese: 中国民権保障同盟 - ちゅうごくみんけんほしょうどうめい（英語表記）Zhong-guo min-quan bao-zhang tong-meng

An organization for the protection of human rights organized by Chinese liberals in December 1932. Its main members were Cai Yuanpei (president), Yang Xingfu (general secretary), Song Chingling (chairman), Lu Xun, Lin Yutang, and Hu Shih (who soon left), with A. Smedley and H. Isaacs also joining. At the time, the Nationalist government promulgated the Emergency Criminal Law for the Criminal Affairs of the Republic of China, and used the Blue Shirt Society to illegally arrest, torture, and execute critics of its dictatorial government and anti-Japanese activists. The League demanded the repeal of the Criminal Law, public trials for political prisoners, and improvements to prisons, and also provided legal and other relief activities, and fought for freedom of speech, publication, and association. However, after Yang Xingfu was assassinated by the Blue Shirt Society in June 1933, the League ceased most of its activities.

1932年 12月に中国の自由主義者たちが組織した人権擁護のための団体。蔡元培 (総裁) ，楊杏仏 (総幹事) ，宋慶齢 (議長) ，魯迅，林語堂，胡適 (まもなく脱退) らが主要なメンバーであり，A.スメドレー，H.アイザックスも加わっていた。当時，国民政府は危害民国緊急治罪法を公布し，藍衣社を利用して，その独裁政治に対する批判者や抗日論者を不法に逮捕，拷問，処刑していた。同盟は治罪法の撤廃，政治犯に対する公開裁判，監獄の改善などを要求し，弁護その他の救援活動を行い，言論，出版，結社の自由のためにたたかったが，33年6月，楊杏仏が藍衣社に暗殺されたのち，同盟はほとんど活動を停止した。
