Japanese: 竹生島詣 - ちくぶしまもうで

The name of a Heike song. Hiramono (flat song). Fushimono (fushimono). The Heike clan marched north along Lake Biwa to meet the army of Kiso Yoshinaka. Vice-shogun Taira Tsunemasa, a man skilled in the art of music, was attracted to a famous island on the lake while marching, and crossed to Chikubushima in a small boat. It was mid-April, and the lingering spring was still felt. The voice of an old warbler was accompanied by the first song of a nightingale, and the wisteria waves of the pine trees were beautiful. It was easy to imagine that this was the Horai Palace of the immortal world (〈Sanjuu (three fold) and first fold〉). It seems that this place is also the place described in a sutra as the residence of a heavenly maiden on the mountain of Suishourin, which arose from the edge of the golden ring (〈Sashigoe〉).

平曲の曲名。平物（ひらもの）。フシ物。木曾義仲の軍を迎え撃つために，平家は琵琶湖畔を北上した。副将軍平経正（つねまさ）は，管絃の道に長じた人で，進軍中ながら湖上の名島に心ひかれ，小舟で竹生島に渡った。頃は4月半ばで，まだ春のなごりが感じられ，老い鶯の声にほととぎすの初音が添い，松の藤波が美しく，仙界の蓬萊宮（ほうらいきゆう）とはここのことかと思われるばかりだった(〈三重（さんじゆう）･初重〉)。ある経に，金輪際（こんりんざい）から生じた水精輪（すいしようりん）の山に天女の住みかがあると記してあるのも，この地のことのようだ(〈サシ声〉)。
