In the army, the Choshu faction was replaced by the Ugaki faction led by Ugaki Kazunari and the Kyushu faction led by Uehara Yusaku at the end of the Taisho period, and after the Manchurian Incident, the Imperial Way faction led by Araki Sadao and Masaki Jinzaburo and the Control faction led by Nagata Tetsuzan came into conflict.
