Dunlop is a holding company that owns the British tire manufacturer Dunlop Ltd., known as Dunlop, and a subsidiary of sporting goods. Its head office is in London. Its predecessor was the Pneumatic Tyre & Booth Cycle Agency, which was established in 1889 by JB Dunlop, who invented the pneumatic tire in 1887, to produce bicycle tires.
