Izumo-so

Japanese: 出雲荘 - いずものしょう

A manor located in Jōjō-gun, Yamato Province (present-day northwest of Sakurai City, Nara Prefecture). Its name first appears in the 1070 (Enkyū 2) Tsubotsuke register as one of the manors exempt from miscellaneous duties at Kofuku-ji Temple. Its total area was 21 cho 3 tan and a half, and the manors show a scattered pattern. In the Kamakura period, Izumo Manor, one of the joshiki territories of Daijō-in Temple at Kofuku-ji Temple, was established in this area. According to the 1186 (Bunji 2) Tsubotsuke register, this manor had a total area of 32 cho 2 tan and more, and although the manors were scattered in four places, they had been formed into circular fields from the stage of the manor exempt from miscellaneous duties. Later, an area of 11 cho 2 tan 280 bu of isshikiden (rice fields) was added, bringing the total area to 43 cho 5 tan.

大和国城上郡(現，奈良県桜井市の北西部)にあった荘園。まず興福寺雑役免荘の一つとして1070年(延久2)の坪付帳にその名がみえる。総面積21町3反半で，荘田は散在形式を示している。鎌倉時代にはこの地域に，興福寺大乗院の重色所領の一つ出雲荘が成立していた。この荘園は1186年(文治2)の坪付帳によると総面積32町2反余で，荘田は4ヵ所に分散するが，雑役免荘の段階より円田化された形をとっている。のち一色田である間田11町2反280歩が加わり総面積は43町5反となる。
