A type of lubricant. It is used for bearings in hydroelectric turbines, steam turbines, and marine power turbines for power generation, and has a wide range of applications, including hydraulic oil for low-pressure hydraulic machines and lubrication for reducers. Generally, additive-free turbine oil, which is a highly refined mineral oil that does not contain additives (antioxidant, rust inhibitor, extreme pressure additives), is used in hydroelectric turbines and various industrial equipment and machinery under relatively stable operating conditions. Additive turbine oil, which is highly refined oil with various additives added, has stable durability for long-term repeated use and is used for steam turbines and steam turbines with reducers. In addition, oils with improved heat resistance are used as gas turbine oils, and synthetic gas turbine oils are used especially for aircraft. In recent years, turbine oils are required to have high performance due to the increasing performance of turbines and industrial machines and the stricter operating conditions, so highly refined oils, oils containing additives, and oils made by chemical synthesis have become common.
