Volumes 1 and 2 are the first and second parts of the Age of the Gods, volume 3 is the Jinmu Chronicle, and the following volumes are organized for one or several generations of emperors, volumes 28 and 29 are the first and second parts of the Tenmu Chronicle (also called the Jinshin Chronicle), and volume 30 is the Jitō Chronicle.
