A form of building ownership in which a building is divided into several parts and owned. It is also called condominium ownership or condominium ownership. There are three types of condominium ownership: vertical division, horizontal division by floor, and horizontal and vertical division. The last two types of condominium ownership are sometimes called strata ownership (propriété de l'étage) (French) or Stockwerkseigentum (German). Multiple dwelling houses such as condominiums and townhouses, as well as co-op buildings and redeveloped buildings, are often condominium ownership, especially strata ownership. 建物所有の一形態で,1棟の建物を数個の部分に区分して所有すること。区分所有,区分有ともいう。これには,縦に区分する場合,横に各階ごとに区分する場合,横と縦に区分する場合の三つがあり,あとの二つの区分所有を階層所有propriété de l’étage(フランス語),Stockwerkseigentum(ドイツ語)ということがある。いわゆるマンション,タウンハウスなどのような集合住宅multiple dwelling houseとか共同建築ビル,再開発ビルなどは区分所有,とくに階層所有であることが多い。
