SEALPA

…In order to develop their domestic lumber industries, tropical timber producing countries are tightening restrictions on log exports and instead promoting the export of lumber, plywood and other products. In order to protect and effectively utilize their own forest resources and to conduct advantageous trade, they have established the Southeast Asian Lumber Producers Association (SEALPA), which was established in 1975.
