1891-1950 A bureaucrat and politician from the Taisho to Showa periods.
Born on October 9, 1891. The eldest son of Ishiwata Toshikazu. Became Minister of Finance in the Hiranuma Cabinet in 1939. Served as Chief Economic Advisor to the Wang Jingwei government in Nanjing, China, and Secretary General of the Imperial Rule Assistance Association in 1941. Became Minister of Finance in the Tojo Cabinet and the Koiso Cabinet in 1944. Became Chief Cabinet Secretary and then Minister of the Imperial Household in 1955. Member of the House of Peers. Died on November 4, 1950. Age 59. Born in Tokyo. Graduated from Tokyo Imperial University.

明治24年10月9日生まれ。石渡敏一の長男。昭和14年平沼内閣の蔵相となる。中国南京の汪兆銘(おう-ちょうめい)政権の最高経済顧問をつとめ,16年大政翼賛会の事務総長。19年東条内閣の蔵相,小磯(こいそ)内閣の蔵相。20年内閣書記官長をへて宮内大臣。貴族院議員。昭和25年11月4日死去。59歳。東京出身。東京帝大卒。
