Japanese: 石橋山の戦 - いしばしやまのたたかい
Battle of Ishibashiyama
The first battle after Minamoto no Yoritomo raised his army. In 1180, Yoritomo fought against the Taira clan's Ōba Kagechika and others at Ishibashiyama in Ashigarashimo County, Sagami Province (now Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture). Yoritomo was defeated, but fled to Awa Province by sea and attempted to rise again.
