Masaaki Okumiya

Born in the first year of Keian. A samurai of the Tosa Kochi domain. He served as an inspector and a magistrate. He studied under the domain's Confucian scholar Tani Jinzan. He excelled in historical research. He compiled a collection of historical documents, including the "Tosa no Kuni Tokanshu" and the "Jinjiroku," which compiled the "Chosokabe Chikencho."
