A mountain in the eastern part of the Misaka Mountains in central-eastern Yamanashi Prefecture. It is 1,785 meters above sea level. It is made up of the Misaka Formation. It is also known as Mount Shinrei, and was a place of training for Buddhist monks during the Edo period. The cliffs on the south side of the summit, called Byobu Rock and about 120 meters high, are famous as a practice area for rock climbing.
