This is a Soto Zen temple located in Nishiyamada, Ohira-cho, Shimotsuga-gun, Tochigi Prefecture. The mountain name is Ohira-san. It was founded by Koyama Seicho in 1489. The founder was Kaian Myokei. During the Edo period, it was one of the Kanto Sorokuji (the Three Sects of the Kanto Region).
