Daichuji Temple

This is a Soto Zen temple located in Nishiyamada, Ohira-cho, Shimotsuga-gun, Tochigi Prefecture. The mountain name is Ohira-san. It was founded by Koyama Seicho in 1489. The founder was Kaian Myokei. During the Edo period, it was one of the Kanto Sorokuji (the Three Sects of the Kanto Region). 栃木県下都賀郡大平町西山田にある曹洞宗の寺。山号は大平山。延徳元年（一四八九）小山成長が創建。開山は快庵妙慶。江戸時代、関東僧録司（関三刹）の一つ。
