〘noun〙 To eat more food than usual. To eat a lot. Also, the person. A big eater. A large amount of food. ※Gyokuyo - Jisho 5th year (1181), March 10th "It has been said that the former general had a disease caused by eating too much , or that he was in fact a naturally big eater." ※Omoide no Ki (1900-01)〈Tokutomi Roka〉 9 "It is said that the way to advance literature is for writers to upset their stomachs by eating too much."

O- gui ohoguhi [big eater]

〘 noun 〙 (adjective verb) To eat a lot. Also, such a person. taishoku. ※Kan'ei-published Mokyu-sho (around 1529) 5 "The more a person eats, the more he eats." ※Soseki Natsume ( 1909 ) 9 "Oh, it's poisonous to eat a lot and then go to sleep."

O-kurai ohogurahi [big appetite]
