Ishikawa fence guardian

Japanese: 石川垣守 - いしかわのかきもり

?-786 A government official in the Nara period.
In 756, he was appointed to the Todaiji Temple Sutra Copying Office, and in 757, he was promoted to Junior Fifth Rank. In 79, he was awarded the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Sixth Class, for his achievements in hunting down and killing Fujiwara no Nakamaro. After serving as Mokkunin, Iyo no Kami, and Nagaoka Palace Envoy, he became Kunaikyou in 760. He was promoted to Junior Fourth Rank. He received precepts from the monk Dosen and was given the name Takibuchi Koji. He died on May 5, 760.

天平勝宝(てんぴょうしょうほう)8年(756)東大寺写経所に在任,天平宝字8年従五位下となる。9年藤原仲麻呂追討の功により勲六等。木工頭(もくのかみ),伊予守(いよのかみ),造長岡宮使などをへて,延暦(えんりゃく)4年宮内卿(くないきょう)。正四位上。僧道璿(どうせん)に戒をうけ,滝淵居士(こじ)と称された。延暦5年5月5日死去。
