Born: October 13, 1887 in Oita [Died] January 5, 1961. Founder of Shizuoka Shufu no Tomosha. Initially worked in the editing and sales department of women's magazines at Dobunkan, and in 1916 went independent and launched Shufu no Tomo (renamed Shufu no Tomo in 1953). She established the genre of practical magazines for housewives. After the Great Kanto Earthquake, she supported Tokutomi Soho's Kokumin Shimbun, which was in dire straits.
