Soyurghāl (English spelling)

A feudal cantonment that took place in Islamic states in Iran and Central Asia, such as the Timurid and Safavid dynasties, from the 15th century onwards. The word is originally of Mongolian origin and means "gift." It refers to a hereditary cantonment with tax exemption privileges, as opposed to a salary-like tuyur, and was used in place of the word iqta. 15世紀以降，チムール朝やサファビー朝などイランや中央アジアのイスラム国家において行われた封建的食邑。この語は元来モンゴル語起源で，「恩賜」を意味する。俸給的な性格をもつトゥユールに対して，免税の特権を有する世襲の食邑をいい，イクターの語に代って用いられた。
