A Chinese Zen master in the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties. His surname was Zhu, his style was Dongyang, later Chushi, and his pen name was Xizai Laoren. He was from Xiangshan, Zhejiang Province. He visited Xu Gu Xiling in Jingshan, Unwai Yunxiu in Tiantongsan, and Kaiki Genki in Jingci Temple, and he also visited Gensou Koutan in Jingshan and inherited their teachings. He is the 6th generation descendant of the Rinzai sect's Dahui Song Gao. He was given the title of Butsuji Pu Zhao Huiben Zen Master by imperial decree. He was friends with Wen Xiong Song Lian in the early Ming dynasty. His books include "North Visit Collection," "Fengshan Collection," and "Xizai Collection."

中国，元末･明初の禅者。姓は朱氏，字は曇陽，のち楚石，号は西斎老人。浙江省象山の人。径山の虚谷希陵，天童山の雲外雲岫（うんしゆう），浄慈寺の晦機元熙（かいきげんき）などに歴参し，さらに径山の元叟行端（げんそうこうたん）に参じてその法を継ぐ。臨済宗大慧宋杲（そうこう）下6世の法孫である。勅して仏日普照慧弁禅師を賜う。明初の文雄宋濂（そうれん）と親交があった。著書に《北遊集》《鳳山集》《西斎集》等がある。
