Sociogram

Japanese: ソシオグラム（英語表記）sociogram

A diagram using solid and dotted arrows to show relationships between individuals, such as choice, rejection, and indifference, as measured by sociometry tests. It is useful for analyzing the structure of a group, such as the presence of stars or loners, and the presence or absence of subgroups. If the number of members of a group is large or if each person is allowed unlimited choice, the diagram becomes complicated, so it is expressed in the form of a sociomatrix and treated quantitatively.

ソシオメトリーのテストによって測定された個人間の選択，拒否，無関心などの関係を実線や点線などの矢印で図示したもの。スターや孤立者の存在，下位集団の有無など，集団の構造を分析する資料となる。集団の成員数が大きかったり，各人の選択を無制限に許容すると図が複雑になるのでソシオマトリックスの形式で表現し，数量的な扱いをする。
