〘Noun〙① One of the names of the notes in the twelve notes of gagaku. The sixth note from the fundamental note, Ichikotsu . Equivalent to the note To. ※Tsurezuregusa (around 1331) 219 "I thought the fifth hole of the flute was a little mysterious, and secretly thought of it.〈omitted〉The upper hole is in double tuning, then the Ogane tuning, and the Yuu hole is in Ogane tuning."② One of the six tones of gagaku. A mode in which double tuning is the tonic, or Miya tone. ※Engi 13th year Teishiin Utaawase (913) "The music is in double tuning, and the song Takekawa is played gently and calmly."
