Kalasasaya

...Its heyday was the same period as the Mochica and Nazca cultures on the coast of Peru, and although the motifs of felines, condors, and snakes seen in the ruins, statues, and artifacts show a unique style of expression, they are essentially descended from Chavin religion. The main platform, 180m x 135m, called Kalasasaya, contains the famous Gate of the Sun, made of a single stone approximately 4m x 3m. The relief pattern of the main god Viracocha on this is gorgeous but lacks strength.
