Also called tectonic movement. In many cases, it has almost the same meaning as mountain building, but does not include the meaning of creating topographical mountains. In a broader sense, it refers to crustal movement that creates various geological structures regardless of scale or type. It was proposed by E. Haarmann in 1930.
