Tectogenesis - Tectogenesis

Also called tectonic movement. In many cases, it has almost the same meaning as mountain building, but does not include the meaning of creating topographical mountains. In a broader sense, it refers to crustal movement that creates various geological structures regardless of scale or type. It was proposed by E. Haarmann in 1930. 造構運動ともいう。多くの場合，造山運動とほとんど同じ意味であるが，地形的な山をつくるという意味は含まない。広義には，規模や種類に関係なく，さまざまな地質構造をつくる地殻運動をいう。1930年にハールマンE.Haarmannによって提案された。造山運動【植村 武】
