Zhuang Qiao; Chuang Ch`iao

A military commander in the Warring States period of China. He was also known as Zhuang Hao. In the 20th year of the reign of King Xiang of Chu (279 B.C.), he pacified the Sichuan, Guizhou, and Yunnan regions, but was soon captured by the Qin Dynasty, preventing him from returning home. 中国，戦国時代の武将。荘豪ともいう。楚の頃襄王 20 (前 279) 年，四川，貴州，雲南方面を平定したが，まもなく秦が四川方面を攻略したため帰国できなくなり，雲南の 滇 (てん) 池 (昆明) で王となったという伝説がある。
