A famous general of the Northern Song Dynasty in China. He was from De'an County, Jiangzhou (Jiangxi Province). His pen name was Zichun. His posthumous name was Xiangmin. He passed the Jinshi examination and served as a local official. In 1068, he submitted three volumes of the "Pingrong Strategy" for the subjugation of the Western Xia Dynasty to Emperor Shenzong, who recognized his achievements in the Western War.
