Vegetation found in the savanna climate region of central Brazil. It is a general term for the Campo Cerrado, which is mainly composed of grasses of the grass family and is mixed with semi-deciduous shrubs, to Campo Sujo, which has sparsely scattered shrubs, and Campo Limpo, which is grassland, and is a typical savanna vegetation of South America. The Cerrado region of the highlands in central Brazil is highly acidic and there are many wildfires in the dry season, so many areas have only been used as pastureland. However, development is underway, including the implementation of a large-scale farming plan with the assistance of Japanese technology and funds, and it is expected that in the near future it will become the world's grain producer.
