An agricultural fungicide and insecticide with calcium sulfide as its active ingredient. Inorganic sulfur agent. The main active ingredient is calcium pentasulfide, with other active ingredients including lower calcium sulfide, calcium thiosulfide, and calcium sulfate. A transparent brown-red liquid. Strongly alkaline. It is produced by mixing quicklime and sulfur in a 1:2 ratio, adding water, and heating in a pressure cooker. This diluted solution is reacted with oxygen and carbon dioxide on the plant body to produce hydrogen sulfide and sulfur, which inhibit the activity of enzymes in disease bacteria and exert a fungicidal effect. It is used to treat diseases of wheat, apples, vegetables, and tea plants, as well as to eliminate pests such as scale insects and leaf mites.
