Seki [Hot Spring] - Seki
Myoko Village, Nakakubiki County, Niigata Prefecture (now Myoko City), hot springs on the eastern foot of Mt. Myoko. The hot springs well up on a plateau at an altitude of 900m, sandwiched between the Otagiri River and the Katakai River. The springs contain iron and are saline. 45℃. In the Middle Ages, they were used by ascetics on Mt. Myoko, and in the Edo Period, a bathhouse was built there. The hot springs belong to Myoko-Togakushi Renzan National Park, and there is a ski resort and a summer resort. There is a bus service from Sekiyama Station on the Echigo Tokimeki Railway.
