Seymouria

Japanese: セイモウリア
Seymouria
Also known as Seymouria. A primitive amphibian from the Early Permian Period. Body length was about 60 cm. The skull and teeth are similar to those of labyrinthodont amphibians, but the vertebrae and limb bones are similar to those of reptiles, making it an intermediate animal between the two. The fossils were discovered north of Seymour, Texas, in the United States.
