Xicagou Ancient Tombs - Xicagou Tombs (English spelling)

Japanese: 西岔溝古墓 - せいたこうこぼ（英語表記）Xī chà gōu gǔ mǔ

A group of ancient graves on a hill about 500m northwest of Zhizhong Village, Xifeng County, Liaoning Province, China. The structure of the graves is almost uniformly rectangular pit graves, about 1.7m long and 0.8m wide, and they are basically single-person burials. Most of the deceased are young and middle-aged, with few elderly people. All of them are burials with weapons, horse equipment, and pottery, forming a public clan cemetery for nomadic tribes. The grave goods are distinctive in terms of weapons, horse equipment, and clothing. There are many types of swords among the weapons, including Han-style iron swords with ring-head pommels, iron swords attached to bronze pommels, and distinctive bronze swords with antenna-style iron sword bodies attached to bronze pommels.

中国，遼寧省西豊県執中村の北西約500mの丘陵上にある古墓群。墓の構造は，ほぼ一様に長方形竪穴土坑墓で，長さ約1.7m，幅約0.8mの単身葬を基本とする。被葬者は大部分が青･壮年で老人は少ない。いずれも武器を身につけ，馬具と土器をともなった埋葬状況を示し，遊牧部族の氏族公共墓地を形成している。副葬品では武器，馬具，服飾品に特色がある。武器には刀剣が多種類あり，漢式の環頭柄頭（つかがしら）の鉄刀，青銅製柄頭に鉄剣を装着したものなどのほか，いわゆる触角式の青銅柄頭に鉄剣身を着けたものは特色がある。
