A private comprehensive school in Setagaya, Tokyo. It originated from Seijo Elementary School, opened by Sawayanagi Masataro in 1917. With the New Education Movement as a backdrop, the school was intended as an experimental school for reforming primary education in Japan. In 1925, it moved to Setagaya, forming a university town, and also established a seven-year high school and a girls' high school. After Sawayanagi's death, a dispute arose in 1933, and some parents became independent and established Wako Gakuen. Seijo University was established in 1950 after World War II. It has three faculties: economics, literature, and law. →Related items Nagata Shin | Tamagawa Gakuen Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
